Harold was born May 21, 1924 at Hainsville, Louisiana. He was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was a graduate of Central High School. Harold attended Coffeyville Community College and later graduated from University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. He served during World War II as a member of the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Harold married Shirley Marie Bradley on February 9, 1947 at Joplin, Missouri.

The couple made there home in Lenapah, Oklahoma. Although he had a degree in coaching and played football for 13 years of his life, Harold became a rancher in Lenapah. A vocation he enjoyed for 50 years. He also remained loyal to the 487th AAA Battalion that he served with in New Guinea. The battalion met every summer for a reunion. The group began with 200 soldiers and was down to three in the past year. Friends were important to Harold and he met with a group twice a day at the Whistle Stop in Lenapah. He was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the Lenapah United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home; one son, Brad Hall and his wife, Sherry of Lenapah; a daughter, Susan Hindman and her husband, David of Oswego, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Todd and Jon Weakley, Sara Lang, Becky McCune, Ryon LaFalier, Matt Hall, Jessica Hall and Brian Ezell; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and many, many friends.
